Sending Technology Hardware
  1. Collect donated (or purchase) laptops, tablets and Raspberry Pi hardware 
  2. Partner with primary and secondary schools in South Sudan who are in need of computers
  3. Build computer labs, provide solar power, provide computer hardware and learning software to primary and secondary schools
  4. Our local staff members provide computer training to students and teachers

Curating STEM Learning Software
     1. SSSTEM consults with tech leaders and STEM educators to get the most effective learning resources uploaded onto the technology
     2. We are currently using the RACHEL learning server which provides hundreds of learning materials that are available without internet and up to 50 workstations can connect to it
     • Examples of learning software includes:
                      • ​Khan Academy, Wikipedia, Powertyping, CK-12
                         Textbooks for STEM education, TED talks, MIT Scratch
                         (programming language), Project Gutenberg

Partnering with South Sudan Diaspora
  1. We partner with existing South Sudanese Diaspora communities to better serve their local communities
  2. The South Sudanese diaspora helps SSSTEM in fundraising and building computer laps around South Sudan
  3. Our computer labs include shelter, furniture and solar panels to charge the computers

2020 Programs in Progress

  1. Expand the number of computer labs in Jonglei State and other regions of South Sudan
  2. Hire more IT and computing teachers
  3. Begin an exchange program for the South Sudanese diaspora community and other African diaspora individuals  to teach STEM subjects in primary and secondary  schools across South Sudan
  4. In talks with the South Sudanese diaspora community to collaborate on equipping science labs in high schools across South Sudan
  5. Set up an awards program for the top performing students in South Sudan Certificate of Primary Education (SSCPE) and South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education (SSCSE). Top students would receive a laptop from SSSTEM
